KUPENGA is a series of database files for manipulating fish bone identifications. It was developed for assisting with archaeological work in New Zealand and the Pacific but may be adapated easily to other regions as required. Currenly, there are 165,449 fish bone identifications in the database, so this represents a fair amount of work over the past 30 years. If I were to get run over by a bus, much of this data would be lost because there is no proper documentation! The purpose of this present release is to make a start on documenting these files to secure the knowledge about them. I shall add notes and additional software from time to time in the FRWG web page. The present release contains the files: KUPENGA.ZIP ANZ.ZIP 2NZ.ZIP PAC.ZIP CHA.ZIP There is a README file in the first ZIP file which provides rudimentary instructions about setting up the databases.
