Archaeozoology Databases

There are various databases relating to Archaeozoology in New Zealand. Most of these are made publically available to members of ICAZ

Accumulated MNI data on fish from New Zealand archaeological sites may be found here, and for the Pacific here.

A particularly useful one relates to Comparative Collections and is regularly updated and publically available. This is a large file, and if you wish to view it, will take some time to load.

The information generated by projects of faunal analysis is routinely captured in various databases. These files are regularly dumped into a sub-directory of this Homepage, which is a Filestore. There is an index (00INDEX.TXT) which you can browse through which contains a brief description of the files present.
